Natalie Appleton has unintentionally fuelled speculation that she is Fawn on The Masked Singer with her first Instagram post of this year as fans rushed to tell her they knew it was her.
Fawn made her debut on episode two of the crazy ITV show's new series, along with the likes of Jacket Potato and Rhino and, as well as an array of clues pointing to to it being All Saints star Natalie inside the costume, many fans of the girl group and Natalie and sister Nicole's duo Appleton, claimed to have recognised her voice straight away, with some of them sharing an audio of one of Appleton's songs on Twitter to prove their point.
Clues that led people down the Natalie route were mention of 'black coffee', the title of one All Saints' number 1 hits; sandy, which could be nod to their hit Pure Shores and a riddle in which Fawn said she'd 'been to wonderland,' which in the know fans immediately correlated with All Saints supporting Take That on their Wonderland tour in 2017
Unlike Claire Richards, many viewers' guess to be Knitting, Natalie hasn't got involved with any online conversations around The Masked Singer, but in the comment section of her first Instagram post of 2023, it was mentioned by a number of her followers.
Returning to the social media platform after more than a month away and a day before Fawn's second performance, Natalie shared a throwback montage of her and Natalie, to which one fan responded: "Your voice is so beautiful and distinctive it’s difficult not to recognise it."
