A group of lebanese in Kano donated food items and other essentials that worth over #100m to help the poor as the country battles the covid-19 pandemic.
Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the consul General of the lebanese community in Kano presented the items to the state governor.
It was reported that the commodities include 30 tonnes of rice 2,000 packet of spaghetti, other are 1,000 bags of dawavita of 1kg, 500 packet of juice drink, 1,548 hand sanitisers, 1,500 protective garment, 20 boots, 500 cartoons of detergent and more.
The group said they are giving these items to the poor in the community to help and assist them, because it will be difficult for them to afford it in this pandemic the country is facing, further more appreciating everyone for the opportunity to help others.
Our committee has also recently got another donation of 2,000 cartoons eggs from the poultry farmers association.
