Senators in Nigeria are donating 50% of their salary to fight against covid-19
Local media portals have reported that Nigeria Senators have pledged half of their salaries towards the coronavirus fight.
On Monday, Godiya Akwashiki, senate spokesman, said the monthly contribution from the Nigerians senator would be sustainable to fight the virus until the country is declared free of the disease.
The Senate wishes to announce that from March, 2020, All Senators will be donating 50 per cent of their salaries to the stop the spread of the virus, otherwise known as COVID-19, in our country.
